I was talking to my Hubby about my process and he found it to be quite descriptive and in depth and told me that I should write it down. I thought what better place to do that, than to share with all of you!

But for those of you who don't know, here is a very basic definition of what these terms mean:

Centering is a way to reconnect or reinforce your connection with your own energy and bring balance back to it.

Grounding is relieving yourself of excess energy and connecting your energy with the energy of the Earth.

Shielding is a way to protect yourself physically and mentally from negative or even dangerous energy that may be lingering.

Now for the fun part!

Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Focus on your breathing and take a few slow deep breaths. Feel the energy inside you and visualize gathering it into a bright ball of white light right behind your third eye (depending on what you are trying to accomplish, other chakras may work better). Now move that ball of energy down your body and legs until it reaches your toes and connects with the ground. Visualize the ball of light moving through the layers of earth until it hits the molten core. Your energy will now swirl and entwine itself with the fiery lava. As the entwined energy starts its return into the earth, it becomes like fiery vines working its way back through the outer core. As the vines get closer to the surface, the lava becomes charcoaled and then green to show rebirth. This new energy now connects with your toes and wraps its vines around your feet and slowly up to surround and protect you like a shield. The renewed energy seeps into your core and out through your tingly fingertips. You are now ready to perform magick!

There are many different ways to do this process and as you grow, you will figure out what works best for you. Some people have an easier time connecting to other elements or maybe don't even feel the need for a lengthy process. Whatever works for you, is the right way for you and your journey.
